In a March post here I gushed a little over Shock Totem, whose most recent flash fiction contest I’d just won. (See below.) Well, the results of their latest flash contest have just been announced, and I’ve won it again! Consecutive wins! Surreal. As always I’m honored and thankful for everyone who voted for my story “Stabat Mater.”

Originally this post was titled “Story sale and another contest win,” as Nightfall Magazine had accepted a story of mine. It has since transpired that White Cat Publications, the publisher of Nightfall as well as several other would-be magazines, has no plans to put out any of their publications in anything approaching the near future. I have withdrawn my story and retained its rights. In the end this particular story will find a much better home.
