ABOUT

Though the majority of this website is dedicated to my fiction, I am primarily an accomplished writer and editor of web and UX content. I wanted to share a little about this essential corner of my life.

With a background in digital and print marketing, user experience, fiction, artist press releases, and technical content, I provide a strong and diverse combination of creative abilities and experience. My history of project management and coaching teams of writers and in-house UI testers enables me to claim ownership of content. Whether I’m working on a ghost story or a healthcare website, I seek wordcraft that functions as a sort of poetry. Every word must carry weight.

For my current role, I create assignments for informational SEO content for high-spend B2B and B2C clients and edit the resulting articles, including collaborating with and providing guidance for freelance writers and assisting stakeholders with content strategy. These high-volume articles provide businesses with an authoritative online presence and wider reach across search engines and social media platforms. I also help them take ownership of their own content performance and analytics via interactive dashboards. You’ll find examples of these elements on this page.

I’ve also worked on a close-knit web team as a content expert, facilitating visual and content design through user personas and site architecture. I’ve developed and implemented UX and editorial standards that are used by writing, design, and quality assurance disciplines. I’ve created style guides, provided one-on-one attention, and streamlined processes and workflows through collaboration with consultants, writers, designers, and content strategists. Regardless of the context, the user experience—navigation, education, enjoyment—is always first and foremost.

A lifelong resident of the state of Georgia, my roots are deep in the red clay, and I am passionate about my work in every form it takes.
